This role is for an experienced Guidewire Configuration Developer responsible for stabilizing and supporting production environments for Guidewire applications, with a strong emphasis on PolicyCenter. The position is heavily configuration-focused and centers on production support, troubleshooting, and ensuring overall application stability. Candidates with prior incident management experience are preferred, though strong Guidewire configuration leads without such exposure will receive training on incident management processes, SLAs, and stakeholder management.
Key responsibilities
Provide L2/L3 production support for Guidewire applications, handling P1/P2/P3 incidents related to configuration and acting as a technical lead during critical incidents and bridge calls.
Perform in-depth root cause analysis, implement permanent fixes, support release deployments, cutovers, and hypercare, and ensure application stability and adherence to SLAs.
Configuration leadership
Lead configuration activities for PolicyCenter, including PCF (UI) configuration, product model (lines of business, coverages, offerings), business and validation rules, rating configuration, and batch job troubleshooting.
Analyze logs, batch failures, and integration errors, guide and review the work of junior configuration developers, and support integrations (SOAP/REST, messaging) as part of production issue resolution.
Required skills and experience
Strong hands-on background as a Guidewire Configuration Developer/Lead with deep expertise in PolicyCenter configuration across PCF, product model, rules, and rating.
Proven experience in production or post–go-live support environments, with strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills, and the ability to participate in on-call/support rotations.
