SAP Security Consultant

Project Overview
We are looking for an experienced SAP Security Consultant to support the Security & Controls workstream within an SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP implementation program. This role is responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting secure SAP solutions that align with enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP Security and Basis, along with strong functional knowledge across core SAP modules such as FICO, MM, and SD. Experience in large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives is highly preferred.

Role Summary
The SAP Security Consultant will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to translate functional requirements into secure, scalable SAP solutions. This role ensures appropriate access controls, system integrity, compliance adherence, and stable day-to-day operations across key SAP modules such as Finance, Sales & Distribution, Materials Management, and Production.

The consultant must have a strong understanding of:

Identity and Access Management (IAM)
Role-based access controls (RBAC)
Data security and privacy
Audit logging and monitoring
Network and communication security
Regulatory compliance and governance standards

Key Responsibilities
Analyze existing business processes and gather stakeholder requirements to design secure SAP solutions aligned with SAP S/4HANA best practices.
Define and manage user roles and authorizations, ensuring granular control over data access and system functionality.
Configure and customize SAP security settings across S/4HANA modules (FICO, MM, SD) to meet functional and technical requirements.
Implement fine-grained access controls at the table, view, column, and stored procedure levels where applicable.
Design and manage role-based access models to efficiently control permissions across SAP environments.
Ensure data protection standards are enforced to safeguard sensitive information and maintain compliance.
Monitor and audit user activity, leveraging SAP logging capabilities to detect and prevent security risks.
Participate in all phases of the SAP project lifecycle, including design, build, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
Troubleshoot and resolve security and authorization-related issues, serving as the primary support contact for end users within the assigned functional area.
Own and support routine operational activities within specific SAP process areas (e.g., purchasing, accounts payable, inventory management).

Required Qualifications
3–5 years of hands-on experience in SAP Security, including SAP S/4HANA environments.
Strong expertise in SAP Security & Basis concepts.
Practical experience implementing role-based security models and authorization frameworks.
Functional knowledge in at least one core SAP module (FICO, MM, SD).
Experience supporting SAP implementations or enterprise transformation programs.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skills.
