Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled React Native Lead to join our client, Tractor Supply Company, in an onsite role based in Nashville, TN. This position requires a strong hands-on engineer who can both lead a development team and work directly with business stakeholders in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.

The ideal candidate will be an expert in mobile application development using React Native, possess strong leadership capabilities, and have exceptional communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, understand business needs, and deliver high-quality mobile solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and guide a team of React Native developers throughout project lifecycle.
Design, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable mobile applications using React Native.
Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, designers, and backend engineering teams.
Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decisions.
Ensure best practices in coding standards, performance optimization, and mobile UX.
Conduct code reviews and support continuous improvement efforts.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across various development stages.
Work closely with the business team in a client-facing role, clearly communicating project updates, risks, and deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience

12+ years of software development experience with at least 4+ years in React Native.
Proven experience leading and managing development teams.
Strong hands-on expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React Native components, APIs, state management tools (Redux, Context API, etc.).
Experience integrating mobile apps with RESTful APIs and backend services.
Solid understanding of mobile app architecture, performance optimization, and debugging tools.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and mobile build processes (Android/iOS).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — must be comfortable in a business-facing role.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in retail or enterprise-level environments.
Knowledge of native iOS/Android development basics.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
