Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Business EMV Analyst with strong understanding of payment systems and hands-on experience supporting EMV, ISO 8583, and switch platform operations. The ideal candidate will have solid analytical skills, the ability to interpret transaction logs, and strong communication capabilities to interact with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders. This is an onsite role in Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities

Perform analysis of ISO 8583 messages, EMV transaction data, and end-to-end payment flows.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues by reviewing transaction logs, identifying failures, and recommending corrective actions.
Monitor performance of payment switch platforms (Connex / Tandem) and escalate anomalies as needed.
Support Pulse switch operations and ensure smooth ATM, POS, and eCommerce transaction processing.
Work with Splunk to fetch and analyze data for incident investigation and system monitoring.
Collaborate with technical teams, business partners, relationship managers, and external vendors to address payment-related concerns.
Prepare reports and documentation related to switch performance, issues, and resolutions.
Leverage Snowflake for querying datasets and supporting analytics-driven insights.
Contribute to continuous improvement of payments processes and system stability.
Required Skills & Experience

3–4 years of hands-on experience in Payments domain (ATM, POS, eCommerce, Issuer/Acquirer flows).
Strong knowledge of EMV, ISO 8583, and payment message formats.
Experience supporting Pulse switch, Connex/Tandem platforms.
Good understanding of card issuer and acquirer ecosystems.
Experience using Splunk for log analysis and troubleshooting.
Working knowledge of Snowflake for data queries.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with clients and partners.
Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in financial services or card payments environment.
Exposure to ATM/POS terminal operations and settlement processes.
