Job Discerption
The main function of a cooling design engineer is to apply the principles of mechanical engineering design, development, testing, and evaluation of the hardware and systems that make cooling systems work. A typical design engineer analyzes customer cooling requirements, and then designs, tests, and develops hardware to meet those needs.
Job Responsibilities:
Basic knowledge of thermodynamics, thermal simulation and structural analysis.
High knowledge of Creo 3D modeling tools, Teamcenter processes and print creation/releasing.
Technical Skills (Required)
· Knowledge of cooling systems technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
· Generates specifications for parts or components with Creo CAD software.
· Reuses design components via reusable libraries following standard procedures.
· Uses Creo CAD to perform intermediate drafting such as wire frames, solid objects and array of objects, including but not limited to fabrications, castings and modular assemblies.
· Performs routine changes to computerized schematics or drawings.
· Creates views of objects in 2 and 3 dimensions; creates perspective drawings and orthogonal views. Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
