Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end QA activities across Guidewire, Underwriting Workbench, Excel-based Raters, PriceMonitor, Pinnacle, and Technical Pricing applications.
Define and execute test strategies, test plans, and release schedules for multiple concurrent projects.
Manage and mentor QA teams, ensuring effective resource planning, task allocation, and delivery.
Collaborate with Business, Product, Development, and Underwriting teams to understand requirements and ensure quality deliverables.
Oversee functional, integration, regression, API, and end-to-end testing across insurance applications.
Drive defect management, risk assessment, root cause analysis, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Monitor testing progress, provide status updates, and present QA metrics to stakeholders and leadership.
Support Agile delivery by participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and release activities.
Promote test automation, process optimization, and adoption of QA best practices to improve efficiency.
 

Area(s) of responsibility

6+ years of experience in Guidewire testing, with strong focus on Rating / Pricing
Hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter Rating Engine, test data management, bulk testing, issue triage and Guidewire based testing tools e.g. GT: API
Strong understanding of P&C insurance products (Commercial and Personal Lines) and Canadian P&C Insurance market.
Experience testing rate tables, modifiers, rules, coverages, and underwriting factors
Knowledge of ISO / NCCI / bureau-based rating concepts
Proficiency in test case design, execution, and defect management
Experience with Agile / Scrum delivery models
