Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Python Developer for a contract-to-hire role in McLean, VA (hybrid/on-site). Join our financial services client to build scalable web applications and data processing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
– Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications using Flask/Dash, Pandas, and NumPy for financial modeling and risk analysis.
– Build full-stack solutions with React.js, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and SQL databases on Linux/Unix environments.
– Collaborate with quantitative teams to implement microservices, automate workflows, and ensure code quality through testing and reviews.
– Support data migrations, API development, and system monitoring for market/credit risk tools.
Required Skills & Experience:
– 3 to 7+ years in Python development (core must-have).
– Proficiency in Python web frameworks (Flask, Dash), data libraries (Pandas, NumPy), and front-end tech (React, JavaScript).
– Strong SQL and database skills; experience with AWS or cloud platforms a plus.
– Knowledge of quantitative finance or financial systems preferred.
