Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer – OMS (Retail)
Location: Seattle, WA (USA) OR Vancouver, BC (Canada)
Work Model: Hybrid – 4 Days Onsite
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer with strong expertise in Java Microservices, Kubernetes, and Cloud-Native architecture on AWS to support large-scale Retail Order Management Systems (OMS). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building and supporting highly scalable distributed applications within modern cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices supporting enterprise retail applications.
Build and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS using containerized environments.
Manage and deploy applications using Kubernetes and Docker.
Support and enhance Order Management Systems (OMS) including order processing, fulfillment, and integrations.
Develop and maintain REST APIs and service integrations with internal and external retail systems.
Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architecture, DevOps, and product teams.
Required Skills
8+ years of experience in Java development with strong Microservices architecture expertise.
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot / REST API development.
Strong experience with Kubernetes and containerization (Docker).
Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS.
Experience with distributed systems and API integrations.
Prior experience working with Retail or eCommerce Order Management Systems (OMS).
Preferred Skills
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of event-driven architecture or messaging systems.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
