We have an urgent remote contract opportunity for an experienced Backend Developer with a strong background in Node.js, TypeScript, Microservices, Kafka, AWS, and Kubernetes.
Location: Remote
Required Skills:
• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript & Node.js
• Microservices Architecture
• Kafka / Event-Driven Systems
• PostgreSQL
• AWS & Kubernetes (EKS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, IAM)
• Jest / Vitest
• Playwright / Cypress / Selenium
• Strong testing strategy and engineering best practices
The client is also looking for candidates with:
• Strong communication skills
• Systems-thinking ability
• Experience working across distributed environments
Nice-to-Have:
• Healthcare domain experience
• LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)
• FDA-regulated software environments
• Confluent, Redox, or EHR integrations
• Jama tools
• AI tools such as Claude or Cursor
