Job Role and Responsibilities:
An SAP Funds Management (FM) job involves managing a company”s financial resources and budget processes using the SAP FM module, which requires expertise in configuring and maintaining the system to control expenditures, monitor fund allocations, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Responsibilities include gathering client requirements, troubleshooting financial issues, creating reports, integrating the FM module with other SAP systems, and collaborating with finance and IT teams to align financial resources with organizational goals.

Key Requirements & Responsibilities:
• 7-10 years of experience both leading a workstream, solution architecting, and being an individual contributor and has the ability to still do hands on configuration

• Configure and implement SAP S/4HANA PSM-FM functionalities.
• Set up budget structures, funds centers, commitment items, and budget distribution processes.
• Enable availability control to enforce budget compliance in procurement and finance
• System Configuration and Maintenance: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot the SAP Funds Management module to ensure it meets organizational needs for budget control and fund management.
• Budgeting and Financial Planning: Manage the entire life-cycle of funds, from planning and allocation to monitoring and control, ensuring that budgets are not exceeded.
• Reporting and Analysis: Generate detailed financial reports, analyze spending patterns, and design reports and interfaces to provide stakeholders with accurate financial data.
• Integration: Ensure seamless integration between the SAP FM module and other SAP modules, such as FI, CO, MM, PS, and SD, for comprehensive financial management.
• Compliance: Ensure that all financial processes comply with internal policies and external financial regulations, including those related to grants and public sector budgeting.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with finance, IT, and other departments to implement financial controls, train users, and support audits and period-end closing activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of the SAP FM module and its functionalities, including master data, budget control, and derivation logic.
• Financial Acumen: A strong background in finance or accounting, with an understanding of budgeting, funds, project systems, and financial processes.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, train users, and document processes.
• System Integration: Experience with integrating FM with other SAP modules (FI, CO, MM, SD) is highly beneficial.
• Government Sector Experience is a Plus.
