Job Summary:
The Staff Pharmacist will receive general guidance and direction from the Pharmacist in Charge. This role will involve drug utilization review, ensuring the proper and safe storage of drugs and devices, and the maintenance of records of drugs and devices. The key function of this role is processing prescriptions, ensuring formulation accuracy, and communicating with prescribers.

Responsibilities:
Must have knowledge of and follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures and USP 795/800.
Maintain professional knowledge, skills, and competence in areas of responsibility.
Identify opportunities for improvements in pharmacy systems related to unique needs of identified health conditions.
Nonsterile compounding may include but is not limited to capsules, oral liquids, topical medications, nasal preparations, suppositories, troches, tablet triturates and lollipops. Hormones and other potentially hazardous chemicals are used in nonsterile compounds.
Appropriately intervene for drug allergies, potential drug interactions, and duplication of therapy 100% of the time, as documented in patient medication profile.
Position requires a exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in filling prescriptions.
· Accurately review and interpret prescriptions, compounds and dispense medication, while maintaining efficient workflow to provide timely delivery.
· Effectively communicate to patients the recommendation of drug regimen for all prescriptions.
· Compounding pharmacist must perform compounding and supervise pharmacy technicians compounding of preparations, filling and labeling of prescriptions and repackaging of bulk medications.
· Performing one on one prescription counseling
· Maintaining a formulary that meets USP 795 and USP 800 standards and Nebraska statutes.
· Actively be involved in the growth and development of the pharmacy lab operations.
Qualifications:
· Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy
· B.S. or Pharm.D.
· 1-2 years experience in clinical pharmacy or compounding practice is preferred
· Functional medicine and or nutritional experience preferred
· Licensed and in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy; Licensure in Nebraska
· Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
· Self-directed with the excellent time management skills and able to work independently.
· Strong organizational skills necessary to plan and coordinate daily operational activities
· Ability to communicate with all levels of health care professionals
