Role Overview
The Desktop Technician is responsible for managing and supporting IT assets and end-user devices to ensure smooth operations and timely project execution. This role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, deployment, and collaboration with multiple teams to meet SLA requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the complete IT asset lifecycle: track, diagnose, document, repair, provision, image, inventory, prepare for EOL, refresh, receive & ship, perform quality assurance, and deploy devices.
Perform document diagnostics, data wipes, legal holds, quarantine, and manage warranty claims with vendors.
Collaborate with other teams and departments to meet SLA requirements and complete projects on time.
Utilize Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, Excel, Outlook) for end-user support and communication.
Work with imaging and endpoint management tools (e.g., Symantec Imaging Software) to deploy and maintain systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
4–6 years of experience as a Desktop Technician or similar role.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 tools: Teams, Outlook, Excel.
Experience with endpoint imaging, data wipes, and device provisioning.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
