Role Name: SAS Lead Developer

Location: Onsite – Pittsburgh, PA

Experience: 8–10 Years

Must Have: BI Data Visualization – Tableau, Python, Microsoft Power BI

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain SAS programs for data extraction, transformation, and loading activities.

Create, optimize, and support SAS applications used in analytics and reporting workflows.

Generate tables, listings, figures (TLFs), dashboards, and statistical reports using SAS procedures.

Perform data cleansing, validation, transformation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Develop automation solutions using SAS macros and reusable code components to streamline processes.

Collaborate closely with analysts, statisticians, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.

Conduct unit testing, maintain technical documentation, and ensure compliance with coding standards.

Improve efficiency of SAS programs through performance tuning and troubleshooting.

Ensure adherence to secure coding practices and applicable regulatory requirements.

Effective communication and requirement-gathering skills.

Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams (analytics, business, statistics).

Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.

 

Required Technical Skills:

SAS Programming (Base SAS, SAS Macros, SAS Procedures).

Data Visualization Tools: Tableau, Microsoft Power BI.

Python for data processing and automation.

Data management techniques (cleansing, validation, transformation).

Performance optimization and troubleshooting of SAS programs.

 

Must-Have Qualifications:

8–10 years of experience in SAS development and data analytics.

Proven experience building automated SAS workflows and reusable code libraries.

Hands-on experience developing dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI.

Strong data analysis and data quality expertise with large datasets.

Experience working with business teams, statisticians, and cross-functional stakeholders
