Job Description
We are seeking an experienced SAP EWM Consultant with 12+ years of strong hands-on experience in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) to support warehouse management and logistics initiatives for a leading pharmaceutical organization.
The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in core SAP EWM, warehouse processes, SAP integration, configuration, implementation, and production support. Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences domain experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
Provide functional expertise and hands-on support for SAP EWM implementations, enhancements, and production support.
Configure and maintain core SAP EWM functionality based on business requirements.
Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, perform fit-gap analysis, and translate requirements into SAP EWM solutions.
Design and implement warehouse processes including:
Inbound processing
Outbound processing
Putaway
Picking and packing
Goods receipt and goods issue
Warehouse replenishment
Physical inventory
Internal warehouse movements
Handling Units (HU)
Wave management
Warehouse orders and tasks
Work on integration between SAP EWM and SAP ERP/S/4HANA.
Troubleshoot EWM configuration, integration, and warehouse process issues.
Support testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and defect resolution.
Prepare functional specifications and work with technical teams on enhancements and interfaces.
Support cutover, deployment, hypercare, and post-production stabilization activities.
Collaborate with warehouse, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and business teams.
Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to junior consultants and project teams.
Required Skills
12+ years of SAP experience with strong core SAP EWM expertise.
Extensive hands-on experience with SAP EWM configuration and implementation.
Strong understanding of warehouse management and logistics processes.
Experience with SAP EWM embedded and/or decentralized EWM.
Strong knowledge of:
Inbound & Outbound Processing
Putaway & Picking
Warehouse Tasks & Warehouse Orders
Storage Types and Storage Sections
Warehouse Process Types
Handling Units
RF Framework / RF transactions
Wave Management
Replenishment
Physical Inventory
Labor/Resource Management
Strong SAP EWM integration experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA.
Experience with SAP MM, SD, and Logistics integration.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Experience working in large-scale enterprise SAP environments.
Pharma / Life Sciences Experience
Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences domain experience is mandatory.
Candidates should understand regulated warehouse and supply-chain environments, including processes related to:
Batch management
Expiry/shelf-life management
Quality inspection and stock handling
Traceability
Controlled inventory
Serialized products
GMP/GxP-regulated environments
Pharmaceutical warehouse operations
Preferred Qualifications
SAP EWM certification is a plus.
Experience with S/4HANA EWM.
Experience with SAP EWM implementation, rollout, migration, or upgrade projects.
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Experience working with onsite/offshore delivery teams.
