🚀 SRE Lead – Job Description (LinkedIn Draft)
We are looking for a highly skilled SRE Lead to drive reliability, performance, and operational excellence across our systems. The ideal candidate will lead our SRE team, ensure platform stability, and architect scalable solutions using modern DevOps and cloud-native practices.

🔧 Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team with ownership of overall SRE responsibilities.
Oversee and optimize core cloud services: Compute Engine, GKE, VPC, Cloud IAM, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL.
Architect and troubleshoot advanced networking setups including VPC peering, Shared VPCs, firewall rules, load balancers, DNS, and VPN tunnels.
Implement and enforce security best practices: IAM debugging, service account lifecycle management, Workload Identity Federation, least-privilege access.
Build scalable infrastructure using Terraform (modules, state management, remote backends, dependency handling, DRY principles).
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins (Declarative & Scripted) and GitHub Actions (YAML).
Drive reliable deployments including Canary releases, Blue/Green strategies, and manage artifacts using Docker and Helm.
Apply deep Linux expertise (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) for kernel tuning, systemd optimization, storage/LVM setup, and performance enhancement.
Debug complex production issues including CPU, memory, IO bottlenecks, system log analysis, and boot failures.
Contribute in coding and automation using Python, Go (Golang), or Java.

🎯 Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud Architect, CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator).
Hands-on experience with large-scale distributed systems and microservices.
Strong understanding of ITIL processes, CAB (Change Advisory Board) workflows, and enterprise-level incident management.
