Job Title: Senior QA Automation Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX (Only Locals)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of experience in automation testing, with a strong focus on designing and implementing Test Automation frameworks with Selenium Java, TestNG, Maven/Gradle/Rest Assured, Karate Development, debugging automation scripts, and creating Framework from scratch.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Cucumber BDD Framework.
Core Java Development: Utilize Core Java for robust, maintainable, and scalable test automation solutions.
Version Control: Manage and maintain test scripts in version control and collaboration.
Build Management: Use Maven for test automation build and dependency management.
Test Strategy: Develop and implement test strategies and plans to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Defect Tracking: Log defects in defect management and tracking tools and ensure their resolution.
Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and business teams to understand requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables.
Required Skills:
Selenium: Extensive experience with Selenium for automation testing.
Cucumber Framework: Proficiency in using Cucumber framework for behavior-driven development (BDD).
Core Java: OOPs Concepts & Patterns – Abstract Class – Interface – Constructors – File I/O and Serialization – Collections – List / Map / Set – Access Specifiers; Exceptions – Checked, Unchecked – Generics – Java Keywords: Static, Final, volatile, synchronized, transient, this, super etc.; JVM and Memory Management – Multithreading and Synchronization.
GitHub: Experience with GitHub for version control and collaboration.
Maven: Proficiency in using Maven for build automation and dependency management.
SQL: Database: Experience in running different SQL queries.
Test Strategy and Planning: Ability to develop comprehensive test strategies and plans.
Defect Tracking: Experience in managing defect life cycle.
Jira/Jenkins: Experience using Jira and Jenkins.
Soft Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.
Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
API Testing: Experience with API testing and related tools.
