Job Description:

The Senior Network Architect is expected to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) covering the application of campus network technology deployed across the organization. This covers all areas of the organization for both IT and OT as well as various types of projects and support including capital projects and other IT related projects. The ideal person possesses strong skills surrounding the assessment, planning, design, implementation, and support of multiprotocol, multi-vendor solutions.
The purpose of the network architect role is to be specialized in one or more vertical technology disciplines but will also be versed in other IT service delivery technologies. The network architect performs testing, analysis, and restoration of failed production services to customers and users. The network architect will be the key person in the support for all campus network elements.

Experience should include
• Expertise in Palo Alto Network Firewall, Prisma Cloud, and Cisco ASA.
• Strong understanding of OSI layers 2 and 3, including various protocols and methodologies.
• Proficiency in routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, EIGRP.
• Experience with network admin and monitoring tools
• Strong administrative scripting skills (Perl, UNIX shell scripting).
• Solid understanding of data center technology and colocation environments.
Job Duties
• Oversee the planning, design, implementation, and operation of network infrastructure projects.
• Serve as both a technical and communication manager for network projects.
• Provide technical assistance, on-site and remote, to team members and customers.
• Build and document infrastructure environments while following best practices and security policies.
• Offer technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and mentorship to internal peers.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, ensuring optimization and security.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely solution delivery.

Qualifications
• Bachelor degree with a minimum of 5 years working in a network architecture role.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to collaborate with a team as well as work individually.
• Certification expected
• Knowledge or experience in wireless network deployment.
• Working knowledge of AWS services.
• VOIP deployment experience.
• Project Management skills.
• Proficiency in Scripting and Automation Technologies like Ansible or Python.
