Role: Lead As400
Location: Tennessee or Minnesota
Weekly once on Site.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, modify, and maintain programs using RPG IV, ILE, and RPG free format.
Ensure efficient code design and adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Write and manage stored procedures for database interactions.
Develop and maintain CL400 scripts for system automation and job control.
Manage and execute changes using the Turnover change management tool.
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with change control procedures.
Create, monitor, and maintain job schedules using IBM i/AS400 job scheduler tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve job failures to ensure system reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment.
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
Design, develop, and maintain APIs to facilitate communication between IBM i/AS400 systems and external applications.
Ensure secure and efficient data exchange through APIs.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for developed solutions.
Provide training and support to junior team members and end-users.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 15 years of experience working with IBM i/AS400 systems.
Extensive experience with RPG IV, ILE, and RPG free format.
Proven experience with stored procedures, CL400, and Turnover change management.
Experience with job scheduling on IBM i/AS400.
Previous experience working in Agile project environments.
Proficiency in designing and working with APIs.
