Position: Kafka Lead Engineer / Architect

Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite)

Duration: 12 months

Description:

10+ years in Data Engineering as distributed systems and messaging architecture using Confluent Kafka.

• Architect high-availability Kafka solutions for real-time Data processing using Confluent Kafka.

• Hands-on experience with Kafka Connect, KSQL, Kafka Streams, and Kafka Schema Registry components, understanding their underlying functionality and implementation.

• Expert in Kafka internals, architecture, and performance optimization.

• Strong understanding of delivery semantics, fault tolerance, and scalability.

• Experience integrating Kafka with enterprise systems (DBs, APIs, microservices).

• Define topic structures, data contracts, retention strategies, and throughput scaling.

• Establish security policies (RBAC, encryption, ACLs) and governance.

• Collaborate with platform, DevOps, and application teams for seamless integration.

• Good to have Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, or any cloud certification.

Education: At least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required.
