Job Title: Senior Java Developer
Contract
Austin, TX (onsite Tues-Thurs)

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
• Architectural Leadership: Act as the primary Architect for Java-based Microservices (MSB), driving the design of highly scalable, resilient, and distributed backend systems (10+ years of experience).
• Core Java & Functional Programming: Expert-level command of Core Java (11+), with deep proficiency in Java Streams to write clean, functional, and declarative code.
• Complex Problem Solving: Strong foundational knowledge of Java Data Structures & Algorithms to optimize system performance and solve complex computational challenges.
• High-Performance Concurrency: Advanced expertise in Multithreading and concurrent programming to design thread-safe, high-throughput distributed components.
• Framework Mastery: Deep experience in SpringBoot & Spring Frameworks (Security, Cloud, Data) and automated testing with JUnit.
• Distributed Systems: Proven track record in building distributed components using Kafka, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• System Design: Strong experience in designing for Unix environments, utilizing shell scripting and high-performance server application patterns.
• Data Architecture: Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL (MongoDB), focusing on data modeling and persistence strategies for microservices.
• Modern DevOps: Advanced knowledge of build automation (Maven, Nexus, Gradle), version control (GitHub), and containerization.
• Legacy & Migration Knowledge: Solid understanding of J2EE (EJBs, Servlets) and XML technologies to guide modernization from monolithic to microservices.
• Cloud Integration: Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS) to support cloud-native architecture.
