Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with strong finance domain expertise to support the ongoing development and enhancement of our Finance Data Store within a healthcare environment. This role will play a critical part in bridging gaps between business stakeholders and IT, helping drive improved automation, refactoring existing designs, and supporting key finance data integrations.
The ideal candidate brings hands‑on finance knowledge and can contribute quickly with minimal ramp‑up, particularly in healthcare financial operations and Workday‑related data.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with finance and IT stakeholders to understand, analyze, and translate financial business requirements into clear data needs
Support the evolution of an internally built Finance Data Store, including:
Refactoring and improving existing data designs
Identifying opportunities for automation and process efficiency
Perform data analysis related to core finance processes, including:
Payments and invoicing
Adjustments and reconciliations
Financial reporting and downstream consumption
Analyze and validate data integration points across finance systems and upstream/downstream sources
Write and optimize SQL queries to support analytics, validation, and troubleshooting
Collaborate in an Agile environment, working closely with integration and technical teams (not a traditional reporting role)
Document requirements, assumptions, and data flows clearly to address knowledge gaps across business and IT
Communicate findings, risks, and recommendations effectively to both technical and non‑technical audiences
Use tools such as JIRA to track work, requirements, and dependencies
Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a Data Analyst in the finance domain
Strong finance business acumen, with hands‑on knowledge of:
Payment processing and invoicing
Adjustments and financial transactions
Financial reporting concepts
Prior experience in the healthcare industry, particularly within finance
SQL expertise (must have)
Ability to analyze data without extensive training or onboarding in finance concepts
Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge business and IT teams
Experience working in Agile environments, particularly supporting data integration efforts rather than BI/reporting-only work
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Workday ideal, especially finance-related data
Familiarity with cloud data platforms, including Snowflake
Understanding of data integration patterns and system‑to‑system data flows
Experience supporting internal data platforms or data stores
Healthcare finance or healthcare ERP program experience
