GCP Lead- Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid)

Role:  GCP Lead
Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid)
Duration: 12+ Months
 
Tech Stack: GCP (Google Cloud Platform); BigQuery; Java; J2EE
Note: Need someone who has worked extensively on GCP from last few years. Background can be Java but title should be GCP Lead or Architect.
 
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master.s degree in information technology; computer science; Engineering or related field
10+ years of progressive experience within Information Technology
3+ years of proven GCP experience
Demonstrated ability to deliver complex; cloud-native batch and real-time projects with clearly articulated business benefits
Subject Matter Expertise in Google Cloud Platform; along with hands on experience and a deep understanding of GCP Services and Cloud Native Tools
Demonstrated experience designing solutions using Java; with tools including Spring Boot
Experience in a financial company or other regulated entity managing sensitive and confidential information
Familiarity with relational and NoSQL data stores
You have a working knowledge of architecture frameworks
You have expertise with different architecture and design patterns and tools
You have a consistent record of driving and leading large-scale architectural projects
You have experience in reviewing and selecting Technical and Applications Architectures solutions
You have experience of working with Technical and Application Architects
You have solid hands-on experience on software development life cycles
You have experience with a variety of modern programming languages and web-based development frameworks
 
Responsibilities:
Analyze the existing system and applications to come up with a recommendation and design for moving the on-prem applications to the cloud environment
Provide leadership and guidance to technical team and collaborate with other architects and technology groups on designing high performance solutions within a cloud platform
Provide leadership across the technology group regarding data storage and distribution solutions in cloud environments
Provide hands-on guidance on leading edge implementations and integrations to application development teams; including multi-factor app design; security and compliance
Optimize and design cloud-based strategies for a cost-effective delivery of reliable and scalable systems
Assess cloud maturity; review existing GCP implementations; identify gaps and suggest improvements
Provide a unified strategy for GCP transformation governance; automation; security; implementation and operations
Design GCP architecture to enable cloud migration programs; analyze existing application and IT services portfolios; develop assets migration; transformation and automation approach; craft implementation roadmaps
Help lead through the day-to-day technical and organizational challenges of cloud and DevOps transformation
Create thought leadership on Google solutions and hybrid clouds
Communicate ideas clearly in written and diagram form
Provide guidance and mentoring to other team members
Work with international partners and colleagues to achieve architectural alignment
Ability to work within pressurized environments whilst making critical decisions
Understand various aspects of architecture practices: business; application; data; security; infrastructure and governance
Successfully work with Product Architects to define technical architecture for products
You will be responsible for signs off on final design approaches
Manage individual project priorities; deadlines and work you’re doing
Part of a community and participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards
You have experience in overall system architecture; scalability; reliability; and performance
Depending on level; you may work with product owners; UX and other business partners to define work for the team
