Note: The candidate will be required to attend workshops in Chicago, IL, New Jersey, NJ, or New York, NY once a month for 3 – 4 days. (Own expenses)

 
Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and practices to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring seamless integration between data engineering workflows and practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions and deploy infrastructure that supports high-volume, high-velocity data in cloud environments.
 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
8+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on cloud platforms (preferably GCP).
Proven experience with GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, etc.).

Strong knowledge of tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git).
Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other programming languages commonly used for data engineering.
Knowledge of data architecture and best practices for ETL/ELT processes.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
