Position Responsibilities:

Receives patients, guests, staff promptly and courteously upon arrival in the department.
Notifies appropriate department personnel of scheduled patients’ arrival and appointments to ensure efficient patient throughput.
Accurately generates/processes all departmental requisitions in a timely fashion.
Coordinates requests for film/report records for the Film Library, as requested by the patient, and obtains appropriate identification and HIPAA approved release form.

Demonstrates knowledge and proper use of the RMS Scheduling Program.
Generates schedules daily for areas of responsibility.
Demonstrates knowledge and proper use of the HBOC Star Radiology System, and is able generate, revise and cancel requisitions
Cross trains in other areas of department in order to provide coverage when staffing limitations occur
Is able to adapt to changing work assignments and adjusts pace to accept additional responsibilities, as needed.
Coordinates hours and time off with co-workers and manager in order to provide continuous and effective coverage.
Attends staff meetings as requested by manager or director.
On a daily basis, both in person and on the phone, consistently demonstrates patient confidentiality as required by MSMC policy.
Work space is clean and neat, and maintains adequate supplies as needed.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent education
At least one year clinical experience; must have working knowledge of various computers operations; excellent telephone, communication and customer service skills.
