Position: Sr Data Modeller
Location: Oakland, CA or Rancho, CA or Atlanta, GA. (Hybrid)

Duration: 6+ Months
 
Job Description:
• Evaluates and leads the selection of new data management components, in partnership with IT and other key stakeholders, to integrate into the existing ecosystem including software, platforms, databases, ETL tools, data modeling tools, visualization and reporting tools, advanced analytics tools, data science platforms and tools, etc.
• Partners with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, and AppDev teams on capabilities, technologies, vendors, roadmaps, and solutioning
• Implements data ingestion, transformation, integration, curation, publishing, analysis and visualization of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
• Designs, enhances, and maintains conceptual and logical data models and data flows for the enterprise
• Defines, develops and institutes robust, quality processes to implement data changes and database modifications
• Functions as architecting SAFe Agile scrum teams working on data projects and products
• Facilitates and supports feasibility studies, proof of concepts, pilot projects and testing
• Oversee the design of data solutions by 3rd party vendors when appropriate, in partnership with AppDev teams

Skills/Experience:
• Extensive hands-on experience in designing and building end-to-end data processing platforms using known technologies and cloud platforms
• Proven expertise in designing and developing data models for the insurance and healthcare industries.
• Expertise in gathering requirements from business users/stakeholders and effectively translating them into robust data models
• Knowledgeable about the current landscape of data warehouse and data lake solutions. Able to evaluate competing data solutions and select the best  option for data ingestion, storage, reporting, visualization, analytics, microservices, and APls given the current and future needs of the organization
