Job Title SQL DBA SME
Location: NYC, NY (Onsite)
Type: : Long Term Contract
Job description
Perform indepth performance tuning and optimization identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks slow queries and other related issues
Analyze wait events and proactively address performance challenges to ensure smooth and efficient database operations
Oversee and manage database replication strategies including setup configuration monitoring and troubleshooting of replication environments
Implement and manage Change Data Capture CDC processes to enable realtime data integration and synchronization across databases
Monitor database health using various tools set up ing mechanisms and respond to incidents in a timely manner to minimize downtime and data loss
Document database configurations processes and best practices contributing to the creation and maintenance of internal knowledge resources
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in SQL Server database administration
Skills
Minimum of 12 years of Hands-on experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator
Strong proficiency in performance tuning query optimization and resolving database related performance issues
Expertise in analyzing and mitigating wait events bottlenecks and resource contention
Proven experience in designing implementing and managing database replication and CDC solutions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in cross functional teams
Azure knowledge is a must and willingness to further develop on Azure technologies
Strong problem solving skills attention to detail and a proactive attitude
