Role: Data Architect / Cloud Data Architect
Location: San Antonio, TX

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect / Cloud Data Architect to design, implement, and optimize scalable data solutions in cloud environments. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics teams to ensure secure, high-performing, and cost-effective data platforms that support enterprise analytics and reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain enterprise-level data architecture for cloud and hybrid environments
Define data models, data flows, integration patterns, and governance standards
Architect and implement cloud data platforms using AWS, Azure, or GCP
Build and optimize data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics platforms
Ensure data security, compliance, quality, and lineage standards
Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI teams, and application teams
Evaluate and recommend cloud services, tools, and best practices
Support performance tuning, scalability, and cost optimization initiatives
Provide architectural guidance for ETL/ELT pipelines and streaming solutions
Required Skills & Qualifications
8+ years of experience in Data Architecture / Data Engineering
Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Expertise in data modeling (logical, physical, dimensional)
Hands-on experience with:
Cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure Synapse)
Data lakes (S3, ADLS, GCS)
ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Talend, dbt, ADF, Glue)
Strong SQL skills; experience with Python or Scala preferred
Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks
Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer, GCP Data Engineer)
Experience with real-time streaming (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub)
Background in healthcare, finance, retail, or government domains
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
