Workday Scheduling & Labor Optimization Consultant
Client: US-based Airline Service Provider
Contract Rate: $70–$75/hr on W2

Summary:
Seeking a hands-on Workday Scheduling and Labor Optimization consultant to support implementation of workforce scheduling for frontline customer service staff. Goal is to replace manual processes (Teams, Excel, manual auditing) with a configured Workday solution the internal team can own post-go-live. Must contribute immediately, collaborate with internal HRIS lead, and transfer knowledge throughout.

Required Skills:
Deep hands-on Workday expertise in Scheduling and Labor Optimization; must be an expert in custom configuration.
Strong understanding of Workday time tracking and scheduling functionality; ability to configure and troubleshoot complex calculations.
Experience designing scheduling solutions for large/complex workforces: shift bidding, shift trading, attendance management, time-card controls, geofencing.
Ability to account for airline/FAA workforce rules: certification expiry, maximum working-hour restrictions.
Strong knowledge-transfer and communication skills.
Ability to contribute immediately as a subject matter expert.

Bonus/Soft Skills:
Airline industry experience (regulated scheduling, dispatch, technical ops).
Experience with high-growth teams and rapid headcount expansion.
Familiarity with Workday HCM: benefits, absence, payroll, compensation, recruiting.
Background working alongside internal HRIS teams (not fully outsourced implementations).
Strong English communication (required for Latin America-based candidates).
Active Workday certification not required; practical implementation experience preferred.
