Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ab Initio Developer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing and developing ETL solutions using Ab Initio, working with large datasets, and integrating data from multiple sources to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Ab Initio (GDE, Co>Operating System, Conduct>It, etc.)

Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Optimize and troubleshoot complex ETL jobs for performance and scalability.

Work with data architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements.

Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across systems.

Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams for deployment, testing, and production support.

Document ETL processes, data mappings, and business rules.

Participate in code reviews and follow best practices in development and version control.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of hands-on experience with Ab Initio ETL toolset.

Strong understanding of ETL architecture, data warehousing concepts, and data modeling.

Proficiency in Ab Initio GDE, Co>Operating System, Conduct>It, and EME.

Good experience with SQL and working with relational databases (Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, etc.)

Familiarity with Unix/Linux shell scripting.

Understanding of data governance, data lineage, and metadata management.

Experience with job scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys, Control-M) is a plus.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, HDFS) is a plus.

Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data migration is a bonus.

Familiarity with other ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend) is advantageous.

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
