Senior SAP Technical Lead – ONSITE – Baltimore, Maryland, USA

We are in immediate need of a senior SAP Technical Lead / Manager for a 3-6 months contract for leading custom development, integration design, system optimization, and collaborating with the team to ensure the stability and scalability of our SAP landscape. The ideal candidate for this role should have strong SAP technical background with team oversight and management responsibilities to take care of the delivery of SAP projects across broad spectrum of SAP skills.

Responsibilities:

Lead technical design, development, and implementation of SAP custom solutions, enhancements, and integrations.
Provide expert guidance on ABAP development, SAP FIORI, and SAP Process Orchestration.
Define and enforce coding standards, documentation practices, and technical quality controls across the SAP technical team.
Translate business requirements into technical design documents and solution architectures.
Lead integration design and development across SAP modules and external platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Salesforce).
Ensure all technical solutions are scalable, supportable, and aligned with SAP best practices.
Analyze system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements across SAP applications.
Collaborate with business and functional teams to validate technical feasibility and user requirements.
Coordinate with internal analysts, developers, and contractors to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
Participate in agile sprint planning, daily standups, and technical reviews.
 

Required Skills:

10+ years of hands-on SAP technical experience, with strong focus on S/4HANA on-prem environments.
Advanced knowledge of ABAP, FIORI/UI5, CDS Views, and SAP Process Orchestration.
Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud a plus.
Demonstrated ability to define technical architecture and oversee SAP custom development efforts.
Familiarity with agile development practices and Jira in SAP environments.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Background integrating SAP with platforms like ServiceNow or Salesforce.
Telecom, utilities, or subscription services industry experience.
