Position Overview
Freddie Mac’s Investments & Capital Markets division is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to support the development of a Derivative Analytics Platform used by financial analysts and quantitative teams. This role requires strong expertise in React/TypeScript (70%) and Java Spring Boot (30%).
Required Skills
10+ years of software development experience
Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs
3+ years of hands-on experience with React.js and TypeScript
Experience with Redux, React Query, Zustand or similar state management tools
Strong knowledge of JUnit, Jest, React Testing Library
Experience with Git, Code Reviews, Pull Requests
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or Podman
Familiarity with SQL and relational databases
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
Fixed Income / Capital Markets experience
Experience supporting financial analysis or risk applications
Freddie Mac / Fannie Mae experience
Kafka or RabbitMQ experience
Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
Agile tools (JIRA)
Shell scripting experience
Understanding of Fixed Income concepts such as Duration, Convexity, OAS, and Derivatives
Key Responsibilities
Develop modern, responsive user interfaces using React and TypeScript
Build scalable backend services using Java Spring Boot
Design and develop RESTful APIs
Integrate applications with analytics platforms and market data sources
Write automated unit and integration tests
Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical documentation
Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineering teams
