Technical Overview
This Business Systems Analyst role supports Separately Managed Account (SMA) initiatives within a wealth management environment. The analyst partners closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional solutions that improve advisory and managed account platforms. Day to day, this person facilitates discussions, documents requirements, supports testing efforts, and helps drive solutions through implementation in a highly matrixed, agile environment. The role is well-suited for a self-directed analyst who is comfortable working independently, navigating ambiguity, and collaborating across multiple teams.
Required Skills
Strong business analysis capabilities, including requirements gathering and documentation
Experience working in advisory or wealth management environments
Familiarity with managed account platforms and model delivery processes
Self-motivated and able to dig into work independently with minimal supervision or feedback

Job Duties
Understanding the business processes and the interdependencies of various systems in use
Facilitating interactive discussions with the business unit and technology teams to achieve alignment on requirements
Gathering, analyzing, documenting, and translating business requirements into functional specifications
Managing change control and traceability processes for requirements
Collaborating with architects to ensure alignment of requirements with system capabilities
Analyzing complex system-related problems and making recommendations for improvements or new designs
Identifying potential solutions and providing input on risks and issues
Creating and implementing test plans, including production check-out and measuring testing performance results
Ensuring sufficient test data is available to execute full test plans
Ensuring quality standards and techniques are followed, including compiling and publishing methodology artifacts using CMMi methods
Updating and creating user and technical documentation, procedures, manuals, and operational support documentation
Identifying and communicating risks, issues, and solution strategies while providing status updates to project leadership

Job Overview
7+ years of BSA/BA experience
Experience working in advisory or wealth management environments required.
Demonstrated interpersonal (written and oral)
Comfortable in a highly matrixed work environment
Ability to figure things out in an ambiguous work environment.
Testing experience required.
Managed Account experience preferred.
Job Description:
This BSA role is to support Separately Managed Account work. Traditional BSA experience plus Wealth Mgmt/SMA experience required.
The purpose of this role is to act as the liaison between the Business and IT organizations documenting Business requirements that meet user needs and improve business performance by providing the technical analysis of business requirements (including translation into functional requirements), problem solving and troubleshooting as part of a larger project team. Accountable for ensuring that clear, concise requirements have been captured. Participate in testing, drive issue resolution, support the implementation check-out process and develop all procedural documentation and manuals.
The ideal candidate for this position must possess: Solid understanding of the processes and systems in use (or the ability to quickly acquire the knowledge). The ability to lead, influence, communicate and interact with people of all levels across the organization and external partners as required. Demonstrated proficiency in effectively influencing decision making at various levels of the organizations. An attention for detail with the ability to translate for the business or technology in order to facilitate effective collaboration. Demonstrated proficiency with requirement and process tools (e.g. Visio, Confluence, Jira, etc.). Ability to handle changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and work within tight timeframes and deadlines. Solid analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use statistical analysis and modeling. BA and/or BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
