Location: Remote –  Raleigh, North Carolina (occasional onsite visits may be required a couple of times per year)

Job Description

The HMS Analyst will support the implementation, expansion, and ongoing operations of Medicaid data exchange services, with a focus on improving health-related social needs (HRSN) data capture, onboarding healthcare partners, and enhancing data quality and interoperability.

The role involves translating business and partner needs into technical and workflow requirements, supporting healthcare data integration, coordinating testing and onboarding activities, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with technical teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and secure data exchange.

Key Responsibilities

Support healthcare IT systems, EHR operations, and data exchange initiatives.
Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
Work with SQL, relational databases, BI dashboards, and healthcare reporting.
Support Continuity of Care Document (CCD) and Admission-Discharge-Transfer (ADT) data integration.
Assist with testing, troubleshooting, partner onboarding, and data quality improvement.
Collaborate with internal teams, healthcare partners, and vendors.
Ensure alignment with healthcare data standards, HIPAA, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience supporting healthcare IT, EHR systems, healthcare analytics, or related workflows.
3+ years of experience with SQL, relational databases, BI dashboards, and data analysis.
3+ years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, process analysis, and solution design.
Knowledge of healthcare data standards and compliance, including ICD-10, CPT, LOINC, and HIPAA.
Strong analytical, communication, troubleshooting, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
