Engineering Director – .NET & Azure

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Director to lead onshore and offshore engineering teams and drive the architecture, development, and delivery of enterprise healthcare technology platforms. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on engineering excellence, cloud-native architecture, AI-assisted development, and business partnership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, hire, and develop onshore/offshore engineering teams.
Provide hands-on solution architecture and design for complex distributed systems.
Drive engineering standards including code quality, code/design reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and release management.
Champion AI-assisted engineering, including LLM-based developer tools, code generation, and workflow automation.
Partner with business stakeholders from requirements through production deployment and support.
Drive technology planning and investment decisions aligned with technology roadmaps.
Ensure applications meet HIPAA and PCI security/data-integrity requirements.
Oversee production releases, change management, and engineering delivery.
Required Skills & Experience
15+ years of IT design, development, and support experience.
5+ years of engineering leadership experience managing distributed onshore/offshore teams.
Expert-level experience with Microsoft .NET development technologies.
Strong knowledge of multiple development platforms, languages, and technologies.
Extensive experience with Azure cloud-native architecture and delivery.
Hands-on experience with AI/LLM developer tools, code generation, and automation.
Strong solution architecture, system design, and enterprise application development experience.
Experience managing projects through the complete SDLC.
Strong business-facing communication and presentation skills.
Healthcare technology experience is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
Azure/Solution Architecture certification preferred.
