Job Role and Responsibilities:
The SAP Digital Technology Systems Manager – Finance is responsible for leading the design, delivery, governance, and continuous improvement of SAP based financial systems. This role bridges Finance, IT, and Digital Transformation, ensuring SAP Finance solutions are stable, compliant, scalable, and aligned with business strategy. The manager owns SAP Finance platforms end to end and drives modernization initiatives including S/4HANA transformation, automation, and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
• SAP Finance Systems Ownership
• Own and manage SAP Finance systems including:
• SAP S/4HANA Finance / ECC FI CO
• Treasury & Risk Management
• Controlling & Management Accounting
• Ensure system stability, performance, and compliance with corporate IT and finance standards.
• Act as the primary escalation point for finance system issues and enhancements.
Digital Finance Transformation
• Lead SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation initiatives, including:
• System upgrades and migrations
• Finance process harmonization
• Adoption of SAP best practices
Drive digital enablement through:
• Automation (RPA, workflows)
• Embedded analytics and real time reporting
• Integration with SAP BTP and cloud technologies
• Business Partnership & Governance
• Partner closely with Finance leadership (Controllership, Treasury, FP&A) to translate business strategy into system capabilities.
Run finance technology governance:
• Oversee solution design and integration across:
• FI, CO, Treasury, CO PA
• MM, SD, PP (as required)
• Banking, tax, reporting, and third party applications
Operations & Support Management
• Manage L2/L3 support for SAP Finance platforms.
• Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and system optimization.
• Oversee vendor partners, system integrators, and AMS providers.
• Define and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and system health metrics.
• Team Leadership & Capability Development
• Lead and develop a team of SAP finance analysts and consultants.
• Mentor team members on SAP Finance, controls, and digital skills.
• Build internal capability for future ready finance technologies.
Required Skills & Expertise
• SAP & Technology Skills
• Strong hands on and managerial experience with:
• SAP S/4HANA Finance / ECC FI CO
• Treasury & Risk Management
• Controlling and Management Reporting
• Finance Domain Expertise
Deep understanding of:
• Financial accounting and controlling
• Treasury operations and cash management
• Period end close and statutory reporting
• Knowledge of IFRS / GAAP and internal control frameworks.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or Engineering
• MBA / CA / CPA / CMA preferred.
• SAP Finance or S/4HANA certification strongly preferred.
Experience Requirements
• 7+ years overall experience in SAP Finance and digital systems.
• 5+ years in a leadership or manager role.
• Hands on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance transformations.
• Experience supporting global or multi entity finance landscapes
