 Role Overview

The Candidate will perform highly advanced, senior-level systems administration supporting agency mainframe environments, applications, and infrastructure. The work includes:

Mainframe configuration

System break/fix support

User account administration

Performance and security monitoring

System maintenance and operational support

Collaboration with DCS, Network Administration, Customer Support, and Application Development teams

Support for mainframe transformation initiatives

Experience with Informatica Power Exchange Administration (CDC) for IMS/VSAM is a plus.

 

II. WORKER SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Responsibilities

Serve as subject matter expert for z/OS operating systems and system components.

Provide direct technical support for planning, implementing, testing, and upgrading z/OS systems, networks, and component software.

Provide end-user support for ISV products such as BlueZone.

Primary administrator for SCLM.

Provide recommendations for hardware capacity planning and system-wide performance tuning.

Provide primary administration and end-user support for CICS® and IMS™.

Diagnose platform and software issues; conduct root cause analysis.

Manage system parameters, libraries, and related performance improvements.

Offer technical consultation to internal IT teams.

Lead or participate in projects impacting the z/OS platform.

Integrate, test, and validate new products with existing applications.

Support Mainframe Production Control, job scheduling, and monthly scheduler maintenance.
