Position: Mainframe Developer
Location: Columbus, OH Day 1 Onsite
Duration: Contract Long Term
Job Summary
Designs, develops, and tests mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, and VSAM.
Strong experience in reengineering mainframe applications to microservices architecture is a significant advantage.
Participates in the support and implementation of U.S. Liquidity systems and related projects.
Ensures code quality by delivering high standards and implementing solutions with zero defects.
Provides support and backup for production call handling related to various applications.
Develops code that adheres to architecture standards, risk management protocols, and security guidelines.
Collaborates with the Service Delivery Team to diagnose and resolve underlying system problems and inefficiencies.
Assists in managing communications related to application development and maintenance.
Possesses over 7 years of relevant experience in full lifecycle development of systems and applications, including system/application design and management.
Extensive hands-on experience with mainframe development environments including OSMVS, MVS, CICS, VSAM, BATCH, JCL, TSO, ISPF, and COBOL.
Proficient in AGILE methodologies and process-oriented development.
Holds a college degree, preferably in Information Systems or Computer Science, with a proven record of managing and supporting technology at the highest technical levels.
