BI Data Visualization Lead
Location: San Antonio, TX
Duration: 12 months
Role Description:
Work with Business and IT stakeholders to understand business goals, gather detailed requirements, Understand the data sources and clarify visualization requirements/goals, prepare the source to target mappings as needed to detail the business teamIdentify key business metrics measurements and develop ways to represent data in support of measurementsDetermine the right graphs / charts to use based on the type of data and create visually smart dashboards that convey key insights in a concise and non-cluttered mannerDevelop dashboards, automated reports and report templates using visualization tools – this will be predominantly in TableauCreate easy to understand interfaces for end users to quickly identify key themes in their dataProvide training to team members on use of data visualization and dashboard design best practicesServe as a primary point of contact for entire Tableau effort and for any tool-based issue resolutionLead a team of 3 members located in OffshoreWork closely with Offshore team, on detailing the requirements, provide technical Designs and code reviewsCoordinate with QA teams for System testingSupport Business Users for UATSupport Release and Change Management activities.
Essential Skills:
Must have 8+ years of Reporting & Analytics experience of which at least 7+ year hands-on experience in Tableau in developing dashboards using multiple data sources (DBs, Excel, SharePoint, etc.)Good knowledge of Advanced graphs (dynamic graphs, 3 axis charts, Waterfall chart, etc.)Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other tools that facilitate the requirements gatheringProficiency in data visualization and narrative construction using TableauDemonstrated proficiency as a Tableau Lead supported by a robust portfolio showcasing Tableau competenciesMust have worked in 1 or more industry domains (Banking, Financial Services, Retail, Telecom etc.) or 1 or more functional domains such as Finance, Risk Management, Audit etcSound comprehension of SQL, Snowflake, relational database management systems, data modeling, and normalization
Required Education: At least a bachelor’s degree( or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required.
