Job Role: SDET / Quality Engineer – Web & API Automation
Hire Type: Contract
Location: Remote
Rate: $45/hr.
SDET / Quality Engineer role is focused on building robust, scalable, and maintainable test automation solutions for web and API-based applications. You will be responsible for designing and executing end-to-end integration tests, developing automation frameworks, and ensuring the quality of complex distributed systems.
Hands-on with technologies like Selenium, Cypress, and various API testing tools, while collaborating closely with developers to deliver high-quality software in agile environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement end-to-end integration tests for web applications and APIs
* Build and maintain test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools and languages
* Develop and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, and Playwright
* Write clean, modular test code in JavaScript, TypeScript and Java
* Validate RESTful and SOAP APls using tools like Postman, Insomnia, and custom scripts
* Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure test coverage across environments
* Collaborate with developers to identify testability gaps and improve code quality
* Use Cucumber and JUnit for behaviour-driven and unit testing where applicable
* Analyze test results, identify root causes, and report defects with clear documentation
* Monitor application health and performance using tools like Splunk and Grafana
* Maintain version control and test artifacts using Git/GitHub
* Stay current with emerging testing tools, frameworks and pest practices
* Validate RESTful and SOAP APls using tools like Postman, Insomnia, and custom scripts
* Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure test coverage across environments
