Location: HYBRID in Columbus, OH. NO REMOTE unfortunately. Candidates that are open to relocation are acceptable as well, but preferred local already.

Duration: 3-6 month contract to start with high opportunity to extend after.

Hard Requirements: Retail industry experience is a must. 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master. MS Planner experience is a plus. Looking to place quickly so this will be fast moving.

 

Client is hiring a Scrum Master to join our team. As a Scrum Master you will be responsible for building high performing Scrum teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record leading multiple initiatives in an agile environment. Superior communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work across the organization, excellent analytical skills, a professional demeanor and the ability to participate in a team environment are keys to this position.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

Lead the Technical team and the Business team in an Agile development process
Responsible for enacting Scrum values and practices including training team members on the agile methodology and best practices
Guards and shields the team from distractions and interruptions from external interferences
Enables close cooperation across all roles and functions
Promote and participate in the continuous improvement of structure, processes, tooling to enable the teams to deliver more value
Organize and facilitate standups, release and sprint planning, reviews, demos and retrospectives
Identify opportunities for process and tool improvements and drive those from concept to implementation
Engineer a project with an eye towards rapid iteration and creative problem solving
Ensure quality and completeness of the product through unit, integration, and regression capabilities.
Strong problem solving skills
Respond to client requests and inquiries, as appropriate
Identify improvements for processes, standards, deliverables, etc.
Escalate issues when required
Provide status updates as warranted
Contribute to the development and execution of training materials
Demonstrate ability to effectively work on multiple assignments, activities or projects as required
Demonstrate ability to effectively work on large, complex projects spanning multiple applications
Dedicated to exemplary customer service
Ability to effectively communicate with various levels within all departments of the organization and facilitate meetings with a business and a technical audience
Business process and technical writing experience
Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong interpersonal skills and an effective communication style
Demonstrated deep experience with software application lifecycle methods, processes and tools
Proven ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships. 
Qualifications:

3+ years working as a Scrum Master
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Preferred
Microsoft Project Planner experience preferred
Retail/Manufacturing experience is preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Computer Science
