Introduction: We are seeking an experienced SAP EDI Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and SAP integration, with expertise in managing EDI transactions and ensuring seamless data flow between SAP and external trading partners.

Key Responsibilities:

EDI Implementation and Support:
Implement and manage EDI solutions within the SAP environment.
Configure and support EDI mappings, communication protocols, and transactions (e.g., orders, invoices, and shipping notices).
Ensure data integrity and accuracy in EDI transactions and address any discrepancies.
SAP Integration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP with EDI systems and third-party applications.
Customize SAP EDI configurations to meet business requirements and improve process efficiencies.
Perform system tests and troubleshooting related to EDI processes and transactions.

Monitoring and Maintenance:
Monitor EDI transactions and ensure smooth data exchanges between SAP and external systems.
Perform regular maintenance of EDI processes and systems, including updates and patches.
Resolve EDI-related issues and provide technical support to end-users.
Documentation and Reporting:
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for EDI processes, mappings, and configurations.
Generate reports on EDI transactions, performance metrics, and system issues.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
Collaboration:
Work closely with business units, IT teams, and external partners to understand EDI requirements and implement effective solutions.
Provide training and support to users on EDI processes and best practices.
Participate in project meetings and contribute to the development of EDI strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of SAP EDI (IDoc, ALE, EDI/EDIFACT, XML).
Experience with EDI integration tools and middleware (e.g., SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI).
Proficiency in EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT).
Strong understanding of SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, FI) and their integration points.
Experience:
Minimum [X] years of experience in SAP EDI implementation and support.
Proven experience with EDI configuration, mapping, and troubleshooting.
Experience with EDI document types and transaction sets relevant to the industry.
Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing EDI processes.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., SAP EDI certification) are a plus.
