Job Description

We are looking for a Business Analyst with extensive experience in Microsoft Power BI and experience converting excel reporting into Power BI. The ideal candidate will be adept at driving process improvement initiatives, particularly focused on converting legacy database environments and reports into more advanced and streamlined solutions. This role will also involve a customer-facing component, addressing ad-hoc reporting inquiries and automation needs for the broader Finance team. Experience leveraging Alteryx would be a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Visualization:
Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI to provide insights into key business metrics.
Partner with business to create meaningful data visualizations that help deliver key information
 

Reporting & Documentation:
Manage ad-hoc inquiries related to reporting, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
Create comprehensive documentation of data processes, methodologies, and reports.
Ensure the timely and accurate distribution of canned and ad-hoc reports to stakeholders.
 

Requirements Gathering:
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements.
Translate business needs into technical specifications for reporting and analytics solutions.
 

Stakeholder Engagement:
Provide training and support to team members on Power BI and data analysis best practices.
 

Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in data collection, reporting, and analysis.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analytics and business intelligence.
