Role: Data Analyst with GCP Background
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Data Engineer with expertise in GCP to build and maintain scalable data platforms for analytics, machine learning, and operational reporting.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in ETL pipelines, data modeling, cloud data engineering, and distributed computing.
Must-Have Skills:
5+ years of experience in Data Engineering (large-scale data processing).
Strong SQL skills for data transformation and analytics.
Proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, or Go.
Experience with distributed computing frameworks.
Expertise in GCP (or AWS/Azure) for cloud-based data engineering.
Knowledge of data modeling, governance, and schema design.
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Terraform) for automation.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with real-time data streaming (Kafka, Apache Beam, etc.).
Knowledge of MLOps & integrating ML pipelines.
Familiarity with GraphQL APIs & knowledge graphs.
Background in retail, customer classification, and personalization systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Platform & Architecture Development
Design and maintain scalable data platforms (Data Lake, Data Warehouse).
Develop data models, schemas, and transformation pipelines for business needs.
Apply best practices in data modeling, indexing, and partitioning to optimize performance.
ETL & Data Processing
Build and manage ETL pipelines using SQL & Python.
Work with real-time data streaming tools (Kafka, Apache Beam).
Ensure data quality, governance, and validation through automated monitoring.
MLOps & Cloud Data Infrastructure
Optimize data pipelines for machine learning models.
Deploy data pipelines on GCP and automate workflows using Terraform & Jenkins.
Collaboration & Agile Development
Work in Agile/DevOps teams with data scientists and engineers.
Promote data-driven decision-making across teams.
