Job Summary

We're looking for an experienced Java developer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and DevOps to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and deploying scalable and secure cloud-based solutions using Java and GCP.

*Key Responsibilities:*

– *Design and Development:*

    – Design and develop cloud-native applications using Java and GCP services like Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, and Kubernetes Engine.

    – Implement scalable and secure cloud solutions using best practices for cloud architecture and security.

– *DevOps and Deployment:*

    – Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build to automate deployment and management of cloud resources.

    – Ensure high availability and reliability of cloud applications through monitoring and troubleshooting.

– *Collaboration and Communication:*

    – Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture and ensure adherence to best practices.

    – Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers on cloud technologies and architecture.

*Requirements:*

– *Technical Skills:*

    – Proficiency in Java programming language and experience with GCP services like Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery.

    – Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

    – Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.

– *DevOps Experience:*

    – Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, including Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build.

    – Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.

– *Soft Skills:*

    – Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

    – Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

*Preferred Qualifications:*

– *GCP Certification:* Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect or equivalent certification.

– *Experience with DevOps methodologies:* Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience with DevOps practices.

– *Experience with monitoring tools:* Knowledge of monitoring tools like Stackdriver or Prometheus for observability and performance tracking ¹ ².
