Java Developer // Hybrid 1 day in month DC, MD, VA, or WV

Role: Night Shift Java Developer

Location: Hybrid; once a month, onsite in DC or the Reston, VA office. Candidates MUST reside in DC, MD, VA, or WV to be considered.
Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire
Candidate Status Requirement: USC/GC
Interview process: 2 rounds. 2nd round will be in-person in Reston, VA, or DC.

Summary: is looking for a Night Shift Java Developer to support their 24/7 Production Support environment and resolve issues during a shift spanning 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM. This resource will fix issues happening with file transfers between FEP plans.

This role will include occasional weekend support, as team members rotate on weekends.

5+ years overall IT experience
3+ years of Java development experience using Java/JEE in Spring framework
Experience with RESTful web services Able to work night shifts starting either 11:00 PM or 01:00 AM, and occasional weekend shifts Nice to have:

Prior production support experience
Experience with any AWS service
Experience with big data platforms (Cloudera, Hortonworks, BigQuery, Azure Synapse, etc.)
