Job Title: IT Project Manager

Location: Queens Village, NY (Local Candidates only )

Rate: $52 /hr on C2C

JD:

Competencies: Project Management

Role Description – Project Planning Initiation

Define project scope, goals, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.

Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, including resource allocation and risk assessments.

Execution Monitoring

Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams (developers, analysts, engineers, vendors) through the entire project lifecycle, using appropriate methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid).

Track project progress, performance metrics (KPIs), and budget adherence, implementing changes where necessary.

Risk Issue Management

Identify potential risks, issues, and dependencies, developing effective mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.

Stakeholder Communication

Establish and implement a clear communication plan, providing timely status updates, reports, and potential blockers to team members, management, and clients.

Quality Assurance

Ensure project deliverables meet defined quality standards and business requirements, coordinating quality assurance (QA) and user acceptance testing (UAT) processes.

Resource Management

Manage project resources, including internal staff, equipment, and third-party vendors, to ensure optimal utilization and efficiency.

Documentation Closure

Oversee the creation of all project documentation (project charters, technical documentation, reports) and ensure proper project closure, including post-implementation reviews and gathering lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience

5 years of experience in an IT project management role, successfully delivering complex IT solutions.

Technical Knowledge

Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), IT infrastructure (networks, servers, cloud computing), databases, and cybersecurity principles.

Project Management Expertise

Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall) and tools such as Jira, ServiceNow

Soft Skills

Excellent leadership, communication, time management, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.

Must be adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
