Position: IT Project Coordinator
Location: Mostly Remote (occasional travel to Los Angeles, CA – once per month, client-paid)
Rate: $55–$60/hr + expenses
Overview
We are seeking an IT Project Coordinator to support project managers and IT teams in planning, executing, and monitoring technology initiatives. This role ensures smooth communication between stakeholders, accurate tracking of progress, and thorough documentation to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate day-to-day activities of IT projects, including scheduling, task assignments, and follow-ups.
Track milestones, deliverables, and deadlines using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana).
Facilitate communication among project managers, IT staff, business stakeholders, and vendors.
Assist in managing project budgets, purchase orders, and vendor invoices.
Monitor risks and escalate issues as needed to leadership.
Support testing, deployment, and change management activities.
Ensure compliance with IT governance, security policies, and quality standards.
Organize and coordinate project meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in IT project coordination or project support.
Understanding of IT systems, SDLC, and infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, or similar).
Strong organizational, documentation, and time management skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Project management certifications (CAPM, PMP, or PRINCE2 Foundation).
Prior experience in medical devices, healthcare, or manufacturing industries.
