ROLE_DESCRIPTION –
* Role Descriptions: A Data Lineage Implementation role involves designing| building| and maintaining systems to track data's journey (source| transformations| destination) for better governance| compliance (GDPR| CCPA)| and data quality| requiring skills in data modeling| ETL| SQL| metadata management tools (like Collibra)| and collaboration with businesstech teams to provide clear data flow visualizations and support audits.
* Key Responsibilities Design Implement Develop frameworks| standards| and processes for metadata and data lineage
* Automate Harvesting Configure tools (e.g.| Collibra| Data. World) to automatically capture lineage from databases| ETL tools (Airflow)| and BI platforms (Power BI| Tableau).
* Document Create detailed technical and business lineage maps| data dictionaries| and metadata models.
* Collaborate Partner with Data Owners| Stewards| Engineers| and Analysts to define requirements and ensure alignment with governance.
* Support Compliance Use lineage for impact analysis| regulatory reporting (GDPR| CCPA)| and data security.
* Troubleshoot Investigate data issues by tracing data flow from source to consumption.
* Essential Skills Qualifications Technical SQL| ETL processes| Data Modeling| Metadata Management| Big Data (PySpark)| Data Warehousing| Cloud platforms.
*Tools Experience with specific lineage tools (Collibra| Alation| Data.world) and BI tools (Power BI| Tableau).Analytical Data profiling| quality assessment| creating visualizations| problem-solving.
