Job ResponsibilitiesJob Description IAM Engineer Google CloudWe are looking for an IAM Engineer to be the primary architect of our digital keys and locks within Google Cloud GCPIn this role your mission is simple but critical Ensure our employees and systems can get their work done efficiently without ever compromising our security You will design the rules for who can log in what they can see and what they are allowed to changeWhat Youll DoDigital Doorways Set up and manage how users log in to our Google Cloud environment using things like Single SignOnThe Need to Know Rule Create and enforce policies so that people only have access to the specific files or tools they need for their joband nothing moreAutomation Instead of manually granting access to every new hire youll build smart systems that automatically give people the right permissions based on their job title
Cleanup Auditing Regularly check our keyring to remove access for people who have left the company or changed roles ensuring no backdoors are left openSecurity Partnership Work closely with our Cloud Program Manager and Security teams to make sure our cloud house is locked down tight from day oneWhat Were Looking ForThe Gatekeeper Mindset You have experience managing user identities and permissions in a professional setting ideally in Google CloudProblem Solver You can look at a complex organization and figure out the simplest safest way to organize thousands of different user permissionsAttention to Detail Youre the type of person who notices when a single lock is out of placeCollaboration You can talk to a software developer about their technical needs and then explain to a manager why certain security rules are in placeTool Knowledge Familiarity with tools like Okta Azure AD or Google Workspace is a huge plus
