Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect with strong skills in Node.js, Java, and AWS to design scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. This role focuses on building enterprise notification platforms (email, SMS, push, in-app) and centralized configuration services used across cloud-native, distributed applications. The ideal candidate has deep experience in distributed system design, can guide engineering teams, and ensure architectural alignment with enterprise standards and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
· Architect and lead the development of multi-channel notification services using platforms like AWS SNS/SES, Firebase, Twilio, etc.
· Design and implement centralized configuration services (Spring Cloud Config, AWS AppConfig, Consul, Kubernetes ConfigMaps/Secrets).
· Define architectural standards for API-driven, microservices-based systems using Node.js and Java (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud).
· Ensure compliance with security best practices — OAuth2, JWT, SSO, encryption, API gateways.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate notification/configuration systems with enterprise applications.
· Provide guidance on event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS EventBridge.
· Establish best practices for observability including monitoring, logging, and alerting (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK).
· Partner with DevOps teams to design CI/CD pipelines and support containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform/CloudFormation).
· Conduct architecture reviews, scalability assessments, and performance benchmarking.
· Mentor engineering teams on Node.js, Java, and modern architectural patterns.
Required Qualifications
· 10+ years of software development/architecture experience, including 3+ years as a Solution Architect.
· Strong expertise in Node.js (Express/Nest) and Java (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate/JPA).
· Hands-on experience building notification systems (email, SMS, push, in-app).
· Strong experience with configuration management (Spring Cloud Config, AppConfig, Consul, Kubernetes ConfigMaps/Secrets).
· Cloud expertise using key AWS services: API Gateway, Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, SES, AppConfig.
· Strong knowledge of API and microservice architectures (REST, GraphQL, gRPC, WebSockets).
· Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, EventBridge).
· Proficient with CI/CD and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
· Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
· Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
· AWS certification (AWS Solutions Architect or equivalent).
· Experience with API management and developer portals (Apigee, Kong, MuleSoft, AWS API Gateway).
· Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Datadog, ELK, Splunk).
· Experience working with large-scale, distributed enterprise systems.
